THE PROGRAM

More than just running

Lace it Forward is a fundraising program started by Elle Ingram to support Girls on the Run (GOTR) South Central Alabama. GOTR is an international non-profit organization that empowers young girls from all backgrounds through running.

GOTR South Central Alabama serves schools in Montgomery, Autauga, Elmore, Lee and Dallas counties. Based on an afterschool program, girls improve their social, emotional and physical skills so that they can successfully navigate life experiences. But Girls on the Run is more than just running — GOTR cultivates an environment of joy to show girls their limitless potential.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

100% goes to shoes.

Lace it Forward is a fundraising platform for local school runners in the River Region area to raise money for GOTR South Central Alabama. One hundred percent of the funds raised go directly to GOTR South Central Alabama to buy running shoes for local girls participating in the program.

Many girls in our area rely on GOTR to provide running shoes so that they can move safely and confidently from the very start. Through their partnerships, GOTR South Central Alabama can purchase a new pair of running shoes for $50–$60. Your donation will directly impact girls in Title 1 schools.
